Here at Busy Bees we are lucky enough to have our own farm so each week the nursery focuses on a particular set of animals from the farm. This allows the children the chance to have a more in depth, hands-on experience. The classes rotate the days when they have Rural Studies to allow as many children as possible that chance to take part. The children will be able to go up close to the animals, while Mr John talks to them about various aspects of their care. They may even have the chance to touch the animals! We then like to bring the learning inside with us, so that we can continue with the topic in a more structured manner. As the children can get quite close to the animals it is important that they wear suitable clothing along with a pair of rain boots.
